Ai is a grieving widow who lost her husband Makoto in a traffic accident. After the funeral, Makoto's father, Tooru, forces him to make a difficult decision. He says there is no reason to let Ai live with the Ozawa family now that they have no children. Toru looks at the flustered Ai and makes a suggestion.
